TSU produces 27 new lawyers, 1 exemplary passer in the 2020/21 Philippine Bar exams

Tarlac State University School of Law garnered a 65.38% passing percentage for first time takers and an overall passing rate of 58.70% with a total of 27 new TSUian lawyers in the 2020/21 Bar Examinations.

Tarlac State University School of Law garnered a 65.38% passing percentage for first time takers and an overall passing rate of 58.70% with a total of 27 new TSUian lawyers in the 2020/21 Bar Examinations.

Part of the 27 Bar passers is Michael John O. Dimarucut, SOL batch 2021 valedictorian, who made it to the list of examinees with exemplary performance. Exemplary passers received grades ranging from 85% to 95%.

The traditional list of topnotchers has been replaced with the list of exemplary and excellent (95% above) examinees.

8,241 examinees passed the Bar exams out of the 11,402 takers with a 72.28% passing rate, the second highest in Philippine Bar history following the 1954 Bar which recorded a 75.17% passing.

Similarly, TSU’s passing rate for the 2020/21 Bar exams is the highest percentage recorded by the university since the establishment of SOL.

Meanwhile, College of Criminal Justice Education Dean Dr. Theodore M. Timpac also passed the Bar exam.
