With the intention of informing the public of the plans and objectives of the government to continuously improve the lives of communities, the Tactical Operation Group 3 (TOG 3) in partnership with Tarlac State University conducted a Campus Peace and Development Forum on November 7, 2019 at TSU Gymnasium.

This initiative was made in support of the Executive Order No. 70 or the “Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach to End Local CommunistArmed Conflict and Directing the Adoption of a National Peace Framework.”

This also serves as the central theme of the said forum wherein the  resource speakers coming from different fields and organizations, such as National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and People’s Advocacy for Collaboration and Empowerment (PeACE), provided in-depth information on how the youth can be a part of the nation’s development toward peace.

Among the highlights of the event include the discussion on Preventing and Countering Violence Extremism and Communist-Terrorist Groups (CTG) Campus Infiltration which was elaborated by the national president of PeACE, Ms. Agnes Lopez Reaño.

More than 200 students coming from different colleges of TSU participated and engaged in the open forum which served as an avenue for them to increase their knowledge on the scope of E.O. No. 70.

The event ended with the Signing of Wall of Commitment together with the Dean of Student Affairs and Services Prof. Fabian P. Seguira and all the organizations and media partners of the said event. [Daniel C. De Guzman, SAS]
