Tarlac State University inked a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) Tarlac Chapter for knowledge and technology transfer earlier today (March 14) at the Engineering AVR of the Main Campus.

Through the MOU, the university's Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department under the College of Engineering and IIEE Tarlac Chapter will cooperate on exchanging extension projects such as seminars, training, and activities involving transferring technology and technology products.

"TSU is more than willing to share our expertise and services with other agencies. I hope that this is not only the first, but there will be more collaboration between our institutions so that we can better serve our community," TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, also an electrical engineer, said in his message.

Meanwhile, Engr. Judy A. Estrada, IIEE Tarlac Chapter President, is also committed to helping the university with extension projects to benefit students.

The said MOU is valid until December 2024.

Last October 2023, IIEE Tarlac Chapter and the Technological University of the Philippines paid a courtesy visit to Pres. Velasco to exchange best practices between the institutions. (jlmm-OPA)
