Overview

Goal

The College of Arts and Social Sciences aims to produce well-rounded individuals who are well equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in the languages, social sciences and philosophy and competent in their field specialization so that they will become globally competitive professionals and leaders, and productive citizens of the country.

Objectives
  1. To function as a service college in the Arts, Language, Social Sciences, and Philosophy.
  2. To develop capable professionals in Psychology who will meet the needs of the educational, industrial, and clinical settings.
  3. To produce graduates who will offer professional expertise in the Communication Arts and who will be responsive to the challenges brought by the fast changing environment.
  4. To train socially responsible community developers who will act as catalysts of change in the community that they will be serving.
  5. To hone the scientific skills as well as equip the students with critical thinking in the conduct of research and imbue in them the value of voluntary service to the community through extension.

 Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts


 Bachelor of Arts in English

The Bachelor of Arts major in English is an answer to the felt need of the Tarlac State University in enriching curriculum with studies in language and literature.

Objectives
  1. To enhance students competence and proficiency in English.
  2. To establish TSU-CASS as the center for English Language studies imbued with a sense of social responsibility and commitment.
  3. To develop, improve and promote English language pedagogy.
  4. To instill in the students appreciation of world literature.

 Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology offers an array of courses reflecting the breadth of the field. It aims to develop competent and holistic AB Psychology graduates equipped with the needed skills and knowledge essential for a career in government, education, business, law and other discipline.

  1. To continually develop a curriculum in psychology that is not only global in nature but also sensitive to the diverse cultures in region III and responsive to the needs of times.
  2. To produce competent and value oriented graduates with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of psychology.
  3. To be the center of behavioral innovation, information, research and extension in the field of psychology in region III.
