STRONG PROGRAMS

A. Graduate Programs - Doctoral and Masters’ Programs

Almost all Graduate Programs are in the Level 2 Reaccredited status and will now be undergoing the Level 3 Accreditation. The graduate courses were offered as far back as 1976 and going strong up to this day with around 16 program offerings. The programs cater to professionals in the field of education, business, engineering, information technology, and public administration. The faculty teaching in these programs are doctoral and masters’ degree holders. Graduates of these programs became supervisors, administrators, and are promoted in their positions.

B. Engineering Programs

BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE):

The BSEE was granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as Center of Development (COD). It was granted the Level 2 Reaccredited status by the AACCUP and soon to undergo Level 3 Accreditation. The faculty is composed of registered Electrical Engineers with some of them trained abroad. Students’ performance is very satisfactory that it can compete with other top Universities in the Philippines and won in some students’ competitions in Electrical Engineering. Performance in the Board Examination for Registered Electrical Engineers is high with some of the graduates landing in top positions (4th placer, 15th placer).

BS Civil Engineering (BSCE)

The BSCE program is one of the top saleable courses in the University. It was granted the Level 2 Accredited status by the AACCUP and soon to undergo Level 3 Accreditation. Performance in the Board Examination for Civil Engineers is high with some of the graduates landing in top positions (4th placer, 7th placer, 12th placer, 16th placer, and 18th placer). Graduates of this program become successful Civil Engineers, either having their own construction firms or become supervising engineers. Faculty teaching civil engineering subjects are all qualified Civil Engineers.

BS Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

The BSME program was also granted the Level 2 accredited status by the AACCUP and soon to undergo Level 3 Accreditation. Graduates do well in the Board Examination for Mechanical Engineers with some of them landing in the 2nd place and 14th place. Qualified Mechanical Engineers comprise the teaching force.

BS Industrial Engineering (BS IEng)

The BS Industrial Engineering program was also granted the Level 2 accredited status by the AACCUP. This program does not have a Professional Board Examination unlike other Engineering courses. Because of the strengthening of the curriculum based on the standard set by the Task Force on Engineering and Architecture Programs, graduates were able to be employed in foreign firms here in the country and were even send abroad for trainings.

C. Accountancy Program

BS Accountancy

The BS Accountancy is a strong program due to the fact that it has a qualifying mark in Accounting subjects and a qualifying examination before entering the third year curriculum as well as a retention policy. All the faculty teaching the professional subjects in accounting are Certified Public Accountants. Graduates have high percentage passing in the Professional Board Examination, higher than the national percentage passing. Two of the graduates garnered 3rd place in the Professional Board Examination for Certified Public Accountants and the others landed in the 13th and 15th places. Some of the graduates are employed abroad by top accounting firms in New York and even top the examination for accountants. Others are employed by top accounting firms here in the Philippines, while others are placed in top positions in government agencies. The program was granted the Level-2 reaccredited status by the AACCUP and soon to undergo Level 3 Accreditation.

D. Education Program

All Education courses (Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and BS Industrial Education) are most in demand by student clientele because of its employability factor. Professors handling the programs are either Doctoral or Masters’ degree holders. All the three courses are in the Level 2 – Reaccredited status and soon to undergo Level 3 Accreditation by the AACCUP. Graduates do well in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Most of the graduates are now holding supervisory positions in the educational sector.
