Brief History
Pursuant to Republic Act 7192 “Women in Development and Nation-Building Act”,
the Gender and Development Office was created last June 2006, which is directly
under the office of the President of the University. As an advisory body on matters
concerning gender issues, TSU-GAD is envisioned as the leading office of gender
awareness and responsiveness to the university’s institutional plans in consonance
with the Philippine Plan for Gender Responsive Development, 1995-2025.
